Discs

The inspiration for my Solar Discs was twofold. First, from studying the little Italian telephone tokens called gettoni, which had several grooves cut into them. Second, from a fabric design used in the cabins of American Airline jets, consisting of a rising / setting sun with recessed, horizontal cloud-like shapes extending across the surface.
